We are glad to announce, that a number of organisations have agreed to support the participation of young scientists at the conference. Please note that each of these organisations has its own set of rules and the conference organisers just act as a broker / mediator. Please only apply for the respective funding if the criteria printed in bold and marked green apply to you. Please understand that incomplete applications will not be forwarded, nor will we try to figure out for you which scheme might be the most adequate one.
In any case, please include in your application the full contact details of the applicant (incl. institution, address, phone and email) and the grant you are applying for.
GERMAN SOCIETY OF PLANT NUTRITION DGP
(Contingent of scholarships from DGP exhausted!)
The German Society for Plant Nutrition DGP awards young scientist travel grants of up to € 500.
The program intends to promote doctoral and PhD candidates as well as to early-career stage postdocs by supporting their participation in conferences in plant nutrition or closely related subjects. The conference contribution of the grant applicants must have a clear reference to plant nutrition. Justified applications (0.5 page explanations) should be sent informally to the ISRR organizers and it should also include a list of the costs. When applying for the conference travel grant, a proof of the own contribution has to be enclosed as well (abstract, poster contribution, etc.). Also after successful completion of the stay, a short report of about ½ page on the research subject and, if desired, a short comment on the conference experience should be supplied. This may be published on the DGP website. Funded grantees are expected to be member of the DGP or apply for their membership at least when the positive decision about the grant has been communicated.
